Mounting instructions:  1. Mount Slocan Floats with the step at 50% of  the wing cord.
      2. Try to have 2 inches of float in front of the propeller arc.
      3. Use stiff spreader bar across floats where landing gear mounts to floats.
      4. Use Dubro nylon gear blocks no. 156. on floats  under 40 inches there is a             1/4 by 1/2 inch plywood  plate imbedded in the float for this block .                 The 40 inch and larger have a 1/4 by 1 1/2 inch plywood mounting  plate to             accept  the Goldberg nylon nosegear bearing no. 27.
              5. Wing incidence should be 1 to 2 degrees positive to the top of the floats.
      6.  Space the floats approximately 25 % of the wingspan apart.
      7. Use of at least one water rudder is recommended. If only one is to be used
                 mount it on the right float. There is a plywood transom on both floats .
      8. Water rudder should be of a retractable or kick up variety.
      9. Reinforce fuselage where landing gear mounts to the fuselage.
    10. Propeller clearance should be 1 1/2 to 2 1/2  inches above the top of the           floats.

There are many ways to mount Slocan Floats, each modeler will have his preferred method my way is but a suggestion. Inpicture form are other suggestions.
